Good job Arkansas
keep it going !
Arkansas has been ranked the
Most Pro-Life State in America for the seventh consecutive year by the anti-abortion public-interest law firm and advocacy organization Americans United for Life (AUL).
Key Details of the Announcement
- The Announcement: Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, alongside AUL officials and the Arkansas Family Council, made the announcement at the New Beginnings Pregnancy Center in Alexander, Arkansas.
- The Criteria: AUL evaluates all 50 states based on their legislative and legal frameworks protecting the unborn, the elderly, people with disabilities, and the terminally ill.
- State Abortion Laws: Arkansas enforces a near-total ban on abortion—taking effect via a 2019 trigger law after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in 2022—which permits the procedure only to save the life of the mother, with no exceptions for rape or incest.
- Supporting Legislation: The recognition also highlights recent state investments, including 2025 legislative funding allocations directed toward crisis pregnancy and family care centers.
